Well the bluestone I was loking for appears to be born 1838. Tukantoiciaye or close to that spelling.
You have Samuel Bluestone being born in Nebraska in the 1850's is this correct?
Was John Bluestone at Santee at one time?

Hi Sara. I took these right off of the Ancestry.com sight. IF these are the names of his wife and children, maybe the dob is just wrong. do you know the names of his wife and children?

sara, i copied and pasted all of the info listed. i guess the thing to keep in mind is the fact that ancestry does have errors sometimes, that they get their info from other places.

jackie: I got the same as you did for Samuel Stone: samuel Bluestone Age 21 born <1859> Nebraska Occupation: At Home Father:John Bluestone Born Minnesota his age is listed as 51 Mother: Mary Bluestone born Minnesota her age is listed as 49 Other sibs: Frederich Age 13 At Home, and Minnie Age 9 at home. Both were born in Minnesota.
And yes, Jackie is right. Ancestry does make errors at times., based on where they get their records from.

maybe we will find more info to add from other sources. at least we got a start on it. i know that i am confused over the 1859 nebraska. was it possibly the half-breed land that was in nebraska and kansas? for some reason, i have forgotten the name of the land.

jackie and Sara: I looked at my map of Minnesota Territory, and I think that a small part of what is north East Nebraska was included.

Well Hermin, It makes sense. I am totally at a loss otherwise why it would say Nebraska. Nebraska was a Territory in 1854 and a state in 1867. Maybe the tribe still traveled over it even if it wasn't technically part of Minnesota anymore. They continued to travel over other lands that were no longer considered Indian land.
